Shipbuilding Project Manager

Requirements

  • Previous experience managing shipbuilding projects
  • Technical or maritime-related education
  • Excellent computer skills (Excel, Word, email, etc.); experience with MS Project is an advantage
  • Willingness to spend extended periods away from home
  • Language skills:
    • English – spoken – very good, written – good
    • Finnish- spoken – good, written – an advantage
    • Russian -spoken – conversational, written – an advantage
    • Estonian – an advantage
  • Minimum category B driving license

Start: Immediately

Main tasks

  • Project execution supervision:
  • Ensuring compliance with project scope and timelines
  • Monitoring budget and agreed workloads
  • Assessing and adjusting workforce needs according to schedules and workloads
  • Submitting daily reports
  • Communicating and coordinating with client representatives
  • Participating in project meetings
  • Tracking project progress and signing off readiness reports with the client
  • Timely identification and documentation of claims / deviations / obstacles etc.
  • Identifying and agreeing on additional work with the client
  • Signing timesheets for additional work
  • Monitoring employee working hours (the company uses an automated time tracking system)
  • Submitting a final project summary report upon project completion
